how kanna started and what noah is trying to make
the story
Starting in my bedroom sewing bags from charity shop fabrics on my mums sewing machine I knew I wanted to create something out of this hobby, I wanted to make art. I kept teaching myself how garments and accessories are built alongside high school giving me the opportunity’s and freedom to create and explore my artistic side. KANNA was born, 2023 was the year I started working on this dream and made it real, creating the name KANNA came from a recent family trip to Iceland, seeing the landscapes and beautiful terrain I knew then I wanted to use this wonderful country as my inspiration. KANNA translated to English from Icelandic means explore, going from there I thought what if I could combine my two strong interests, that being streetwear/fashion and the great outdoors; uniting fashion and functionality. Making clothes you can wear in the fashion capitals of the world but also use to hike mountain ranges, that’s the dream I have now to this day. I don’t want to be like every other brand, I have an itch to be unique and take a different path to everyone else. Wanting to create unique, meaningful and beautiful products for you to enjoy is the fuel for my passion.
